Hyundai Position Statement: Pre- and Post-Repair System Scanning

Hyundai released a position statement recently relating to collision repair. Let’s take a look at what this statement is about.

Hyundai posted a position statement on pre-repair and post-repair scanning titled, Hyundai Pre-Repair and Post-Repair System Scanning position statement. In the statement Hyundai states, “Hyundai Motors America’s recommends conducting a pre-repair scan as appropriate to ensure safe and accurate repairs and that all vehicles receive a post-repair scan to ensure all systems and components are functioning, calibrated and communicating properly with no diagnostic trouble codes present.” Hyundai also stresses the importance of scanning, “regardless if a warning light or malfunction indicator light is illuminated.”
