GM Repair Insights: Winter 2026

The winter edition of General Motors (GM) Repair Insights magazine is now available.

The Winter 2026 edition of GM Repair Insights magazine features the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt. The Bolt includes a North American Charging System (NACS) charging port for quicker charging and may be equipped with Super Cruise.

The Staying Aligned article discusses the importance of a wheel alignment and understanding the nuances of tire tread wear patterns on vehicle behavior, such as following the contours of the road.

GM offers useful tips and information for short-range radar (SRR) sensors and long-range radar (LRR) sensors, including:

  • "... verify the module has the newest software available before a replacement."
  • "... sensor tolerance should be at plus/minus 4 degrees in azimuth and elevation."
  • "Material in front of radars are specially designed and should be considered; even light paint coats (if not applied according to GM guidelines) ..."
  • "... mounting height thresholds: 350 mm (min) to 850 mm (max) from the ground. This is important for aftermarket modifications such as lift kits."
