OEM Emergency Response Guides: Jaguar Land Rover - UPDATE

Are you looking for OEM emergency response guides (ERGs)? The Repairability Technical Support (RTS) team has located these guides and either houses them on the RTS website, provides links to webpages that house them, or provides articles with instructions on how to locate them.

These guides provide information about the vehicle that is useful to emergency response personnel. You may find ERGs available for many types of vehicles, but most OEMs focus on how to handle a high-voltage (HV) vehicle that has been involved in a collision.

For Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) these guides are available on their service site which requires a registered user account to access or a subscription.

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to find ERGs:

  1. Go to topix.jaguar.jlrext.com
  2. Click English (may not be necessary depending on frequency of use)
  3. Click United States (may not be necessary depending on frequency of use)
  4. Select login based on network status and purchased subscription:
    • option 1: Click Authorised Repairer Login
    • option 2: Click Independent Operators Login
  5. Enter username and password (center of webpage)
  6. Click Login
  7. Click Continue
  8. Enter vehicle
    • option 1: Enter VIN (upper left of webpage)
    • option 2: Click Search Via Model Selection
      1. Select vehicle attibutes from dropdowns (lower left of webpage)
  9. Click Find
  10. Click Browse All in Option Selection box (bottom right square)
  11. Click Documents (upper left of webpage)
    • option 1: Accessible for free with registered user account
      1. Click Roadside Assistance dropdown (left side of webpage)
      2. Click First Responder
      3. Select correct Emergency Response Guide
    • option 2: Requires a subscription to access
      1. Click Workshop Manual (left side of webpage)
      2. Click Workshop Manual
      3. Click 1: General, PDI and Accessory Information
      4. Click 100-00: General Information
      5. Click First Responder

It’s important to remember that the ERGs do not provide all the necessary information to repair HV vehicles. The OEM procedure and precautions always need to be followed to ensure the safety of the technician, as well as a complete, safe, and quality repair.
