Rivian Position Statement: Pre- And Post- Repair System Scanning

As the industry continues to ask, are pre- and post-repair scans necessary, Rivian provides their answer.

Per the Rivian Pre and Post Scan Requirements position statement:

"Damage, loss of functionality, or disconnection of control modules, sensors, cameras, radar components, high and low voltage components, and other critical electronic devices may not be evident following a collision event... To detect these errors and make sure that vehicle systems are working as intended, a pre-repair and post-repair scan of the vehicle using Rivian factory diagnostic equipment is required."

Rivian also states: "Post-repair scanning makes sure that all replaced components are operational and within factory specifications."
