Repairer Driven News Highlights DEG Tips
DEG or the Database Enhancement Gateway, is a service that connects insurers and repairers with the estimating services. Users can inquire about a specific subject or search for a previously answered questions that deal with Audatex, Mitchell, and CCC estimating programs. An article by Repairer Driven News (RDN) highlights some adjustments made by DEG in the month of June 2019.
In the article, an example is given on how overlap is calculated and deducted in Audatex. An outer quarter panel and a rear body panel are used as the example due to their proximity to one another. Things like R&I of different components to gain access, such as bumper covers or taillamp assembly. Labor times for some of these operations are automatically deducted from the Audatex calculations.
The article also explains what to do in the case of clear coat being deleted from an estimate, when using Mitchell. They give a step-by-step on how to get it added back on.
