GM Repair Insights: Winter 2025

The winter edition of General Motors (GM) Repair Insights magazine is now available.

The Winter 2025 edition of GM Repair Insights magazine features the 2025 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe. These vehicles are available in six trim levels, all featuring GM’s standard Active Safety System (advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking and Blind Zone Steering Assist.

According to the service information for the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe, the Active Safety System includes a front-view camera, a long-range radar, and multiple short-range radars.

"Insulate Yourself" with safety information for high-voltage (HV) gloves:

  • "Electric vehicles, with their various high-voltage components, require insulating gloves during repairs that have been inspected and are up to date."
  • "Once the gloves are opened, they will have 6 months of use."
  • GM provides examples of when HV gloves must be recertified.

HV gloves must undergo visual and functional inspections and must be certified before any repair is carried out. Always follow OEM vehicle-specific repair information, especially when working with high-voltage vehicles.

The Tahoe and Suburban can be equipped with optional Magnetic Ride Control or Air Adaptive Suspension that may require different repair considerations.

Lastly, GM Collision Repair Network announces Brightdrop Fleet has been added as an elective specialty. This enables participants to order restricted Brightdrop collision parts.
