Repairer Driven News: 2018 BMW X3 Undergoes Changes

BMW’s latest generation of the X3 has undergone some major changes, including a 121 pound drop in weight. Repairer Driven News (RDN) posted an article highlighting many of the changes to the new model. Let’s take a look at some of these changes.

This latest generation BMW has shaved some weight by utilizing aluminum for the front lower rails, strut towers, and a floor crossmember. Ultra-high strength steel is also utilized for much of the uniside reinforcements.

The X3 is loaded with technology including a system that detects low-speed collisions, and can even put the driver in contact with a BMW service partner. Also available on the X3 is every Advanced Driver Assistance System that BMW offers.
