These videos enable you to, in less than 5 minutes, learn something new. Let’s check out a feature on the Ford Mach-E.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E has a feature which allows back up power to open the doors when the vehicle is depowered. Joel Dufkis explains how to enable this feature on the Mach-E. Make sure before depowering, the door is unlocked to be able to unlatch the electronic door latches.

This information can be found in the vehicle-specific Workshop manual under: 5: Body And Paint ➤ 501-14 Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems ➤ Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems System Operation And Component Description. Ford states: "Each door latch control module has an internal power backup, allowing the door latch release to function for approximately 20 times or 72 hours after, a power loss (such as a disconnected or depleted battery)."
