OEM ADAS Information Documents

As advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are now commonplace and becoming available on even entry level models. Having information on ADAS, and when calibration is required for these systems is more important than ever.

As the Repairability Technical Support (RTS) team has been researching OEMs, we put together a series of articles identifying which OEMs have these ADAS documents.

ADAS information, including calibration requirement information, can typically be found in various areas of body repair manuals (BRMs) or service manuals. Often this information applies to many models within an OEM, and sometimes just a specific model.

To avoid confusion and to make accessing ADAS information and calibration requirements easier, some OEMs have released ADAS documents that compile and highlight all events that will require a calibration to be performed. These documents will typically specify what vehicles and/or systems are covered.

Being aware of what events that require a calibration to be performed and being able to find them in one convenient document will help to ensure a complete, safe, and quality repair.
