I-CAR Damage Discovery For ADAS Sensor Mounting Locations Course
I-CAR has released a course which covers identifying damage to advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) sensor mounting locations.
The Damage Discovery For ADAS Sensor Mounting Locations course explains the principles of ADAS sensor placement and orientation. It details why it is important to ensure that the mounting locations of these sensors are restored to as they were before a collision.
The course provides examples of how to identify damage to different sensor locations using a variety of methods and provides real world scenarios on actual vehicles.
In addition, the course covers various tools that can be used to measure the mounting locations to identify misalignment, or to verify that the mounting locations are correct after a repair.
The course also details how sensor mounting locations and their repair can differ between full-frame and unibody vehicles.
