Repairer Driven News (RDN) released an article on the 2022 Volkswagen (VW) Tiguan. The article focuses on new or updated advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that change the way the vehicle may be driven.
The article highlights the Travel Assist system, which allows the driver to keep their hands on the steering wheel yet have the vehicle "drive". When the Travel Assist button on the steering wheel is pushed, the vehicle can control steering, acceleration, and braking between speeds of 0-130 mph.
The article also details the next generation adaptive cruise control system. The new system has the ability to "take in" information such as the speed limit, roundabouts, and junctions from the front camera, along with GPS and map data from the navigation system.
