One of the top technical inquiries received at Ask I-CAR, "Is there a sectioning or partial replacement procedure available?" To help answer this question, RTS has an OEM Partial Part Replacement Search that tells you if these procedures are available on a specific vehicle. Let's take a closer look at the 2017 Cadillac Escalade.

The Escalade has a single procedure for sectioning the front lower rail. This procedure requires replacement of both the left and right frame ends, along with the crossmember between them. There is also a sectioning procedure for the rear rails. The front and rear rail service parts come with a backer preinstalled.
There are multiple sectioning procedures for the outer uniside, including the outer A-pillar, B-pillar, and quarter panel. The sectioning joint for the outer uniside is a lap joint that uses a 25 mm overlap.
