FCA/Stellantis Has Video Procedures

Looking for more information about a specific repair procedure? Some OEMs are now providing videos within the repair procedures on their service site. Vehicle makers may also have additional websites that contain repair videos. As we research OEM websites and find these helpful videos, we will write articles to let you know. Let’s take a closer look at FCA/Stellantis.

Procedures that include video explanations can only be found on the FCA/Stellantis paid subscription website. On the menu to the left, Video Library provides quick access to procedures with videos. There you will find videos within the service information for many procedures including calibration, body R&I, diagnostics, and cooling, to name a few. It is important to note that not all procedures or vehicles contain videos.

Calibration videos may also be found in Service Information ➤ Electrical ➤ Electric Control Modules. Within electronic control modules, find the correct input or component that needs calibration. Procedures with a video will show a camera icon next to the procedure name.

Here are some examples of what will be explained in calibration videos:

  • Overview of the written procedure
  • Preliminary operations
    • how to get the vehicle ready for calibration
    • making sure the component being calibrated is clean
  • How to use special tools
  • Scan tool operations

You may notice there are a few videos on how to remove bolt-on parts. For example, on some models, there are videos on how to remove door handles and bumper covers.

Here are some examples of what will be explained in R&I videos:

  • Recommended tools
  • Where to find bolts that need to be removed
  • Techniques that allow for a smooth R&I

Although videos can be extremely helpful, they are not intended to replace the written procedures. They are there to serve as a guide. Being diligent with reading and following OEM procedures is vital to ensure a complete, safe, and quality repair.
