Hyundai Releases Two New Position Statements

Hyundai has recently released two new position statements. These position statements are available on the RTS portal under the Hyundai OEM Information tab. Let’s take a look at the new statements.

Following suit with many other OEMs, Hyundai posted a position statement on “Clip” Repair (Sectioning of two vehicles). Per the statement, “Body sectioning ‘Clip’ may compromise the quality of the repair and crashworthiness of any subsequent collisions and therefore is not Hyundai approved procedure…”

The subject of the other statement is Clearcoat Blending. Per the Hyundai position statement, “Current automotive clear coats paints are irreversibly cured and therefore, the clear coat surrounding a spot repair cannot be “melted / blended” together with a newly applied clear coat.”
