Enhancements to OEM Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Disable Search

In 2015, I-CAR RTS looked toward the future of vehicle technology by releasing the OEM Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Disable Search. This search made finding vehicle-specific hybrid and electric vehicle disable procedures, emergency response guides, refinishing and welding precautions, locations of the batteries, and location of the high-voltage disconnect quick and easy to find. Since the initial launch, many updates and new vehicles have been added to the vehicle search. Let’s see what enhancements were made.

Most hybrid and electric vehicles up to the 2024 model year are available to search. The enhancements have been added for old and new models alike. Instructions for finding the disable procedures in the body repair manual have been added to save you time searching for the sometimes-hard-to-find procedures. Another addition to the search page is a chart that shows whether a scan tool, or a high-voltage digital volt-ohm meter (HV DVOM) is required to disable the high-voltage system.

As vehicles change, it is important to stay up-to-date. The new and improved OEM Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Disable Search makes accessing information easy.
