GM Has New Front Full-Frame Sectioning (Heavy Duty) Part Kit Available

General Motors released a new full-frame sectioning kit for the front frame rails on 2011 - current 2500/3500 GMC Sierra and 2500/3500 Chevrolet Silverado. A similar kit has been available for the light-duty pickups, but this new part kit is specific to the heavy-duty pickups.

The installation instruction sheet includes the complete repair procedure for the newly available part kit: Part# 23106548. The new part comes as a pre-sleeved replacement, that includes both front frame rail service sections assembly (including the front crossmember) and the installation instructions. This new service part kit and procedure became available July 2014.
