Volvo Restraints Wiring

The question is often asked, "Can supplemental restraints system wiring be repaired?" The answer is: it depends on the vehicle maker. Let's take a look at Volvo's position on this subject.

Volvo provides restraint wiring information within vehicle-specific service manuals. This information may be found in different locations.

Found under: Information ➤ Repair ➤ Removal, Replacement And Installation ➤ 3 Electrical ➤ 37 Cables And Fuses ➤ Wiring ➤ Cable harness SRS System, Repair (this is linked within the wiring document). Volvo service information states: "Caution! As the SRS system is a safety system, it is extremely important that these instructions are carefully followed when carrying out repairs in the cable harness."
