Kia Part Replacement Without A Procedure

We are often asked, “What do I do if there isn’t a procedure to replace a service part?” Let’s see what Kia says.

The Body Repair Manual, General Information document provides crucial information and steps to performing a safe and proper repair on Kia vehicles, like:

  • General Guide Lines and Precautions
  • Welding
  • Replacing Body Panel

The Panel Replacement area states: “In areas where spot welding is impossible, conduct MIG plug welding.” The document also contains information on corrosion protection and the use of adhesives.

If no procedure exists, Kia allows you to replace the service part at factory seams following their general guidelines. Always reference the vehicle-specific body repair manuals before performing any repairs.
