Mercedes-Benz Vehicles On The RTS OEM Calibration Requirements Search

Mercedes-Benz models are now listed in the OEM Calibration Requirements Search page on the RTS website. You're going to notice a difference between other vehicle search results and Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Let’s take a look at the reason for the differences.

When looking at Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the OEM Calibration Requirements Search, instead of a list of cameras/sensors and calibration requirements, you can find the following statement:

Refer To OEM Scan Tool For Camera/Sensor Identification And Requirements

Searching through advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) information in Mercedes-Benz service manuals reveals that most of the calibration procedures and information are housed in the OEM scan tool.

In order to provide you with the most accurate calibration requirements, what cameras/sensors the vehicle is equipped with, and if ADAS DTCs are set, we would have to connect an OEM-level scan tool to every Mercedes-Benz model, year, and option configuration.

Because each vehicle can have many different option configurations, the RTS team does not want to risk providing you with incomplete ADAS information. Therefore, to accurately find ADAS information, you must use an OEM-level scan tool connected to the vehicle in the stall. To document the required calibrations, it is recommended to take screenshots or photos of the information displayed on the scan tool.
