Repairer Driven News: 8 OEMs Update HV Vehicle ERGs

Repairer Driven News (RDN) released an article highlighting OEMs that have updated their emergency response guides (ERGs) based on handling high-voltage (HV) vehicle fires.

The article goes into detail about why these 8 OEMs have updated their ERGs, and how these changes will assist fire fighters and first responders in putting out HV battery fires. There are also many OEMs in the process of making updates to their ERGs as well.

"Fires in electric vehicles powered by high-voltage lithium-ion batteries pose the risk of electric shock to emergency responders from exposure to the high-voltage components of a damaged lithium-ion battery, the NTSB states."
