Sectioning And Partial Part Replacement: 2020 Land Rover Defender

Here you will find information on if these procedures are available on a specific vehicle. Let’s take a closer look at the 2020 Land Rover Defender.
The full OEM Partial Part Replacement Search page for the 2020 Land Rover Defender can be viewed on the I-CAR website. This will give you a good understanding on general areas for sectioning or partial replacement. I-CAR does not have permission to show exact locations for sectioning or the procedure itself. However, Land Rover has a paid subscription website with collision repair information.
The front lower rails and the front upper rails have a single location in which they can be sectioned. Partial part replacement at factory seams is available for the front upper rails as well. The Workshop manual specifies adhesive, rivets, and GMA welding for installation.
Multiple sectioning locations are available for the outer uniside, and a single sectioning location for the uniside reinforcement. Full part replacement for inner uniside components is the only option. Installation specifies the use of adhesive, rivets, and GMA welding.
Partial part replacement at factory seams and full part replacement is available for the trunk floor and rear rails. Full part replacement of the rear body panel is the only replacement option.
