Where Do I Find Other Types Of Information In Ford/Lincoln?

Navigating OEM websites can be challenging when searching for collision repair procedures, especially as no two OEM websites are alike. What happens when you need to find other types of repair information, such as, "What needs to be inspected after a supplemental restraints system (SRS) deployment?", or "Does the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) require a scan tool or specialty tool?" Let's take a closer look at the Ford/Lincoln website.

Go to the Ford website at www.motorcraftservice.com. If you haven’t already, you will need to register for a username and password and then purchase a subscription.

Upon logging in, you will need to enter the year and make in the Vehicle ID tab. You will then click the Workshop tab to open up the service and body repair information. You may be used to going directly to 5. Body and Paint section for collision repair information, however, the preceding sections is where you will be able locate additional information. For example, you will be able to locate TPMS information under: 2. Chassis ➤ 04: Suspension ➤ 204-04B Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

Ford also provides a search feature in the upper right-hand side of the Workshop manual (see Figure 1). Here you can simply type in a keyword, such as TPMS. The search results will provide all areas in which TPMS is referenced.
