Sectioning and Partial Part Replacement: 2019 Ford F-150

One of the top technical inquiries received at Ask I-CAR is, “Is there a sectioning or partial replacement procedure available?” To help answer this question, RTS has an OEM Partial Part Replacement Search available. Here you will find information on if these procedures are available on a specific vehicle. Let’s take a closer look at the 2019 Ford F-150.

The full OEM Partial Part Replacement search for the 2019 Ford F-150 can be viewed on the I-CAR website. This will give you a good understanding on general areas for sectioning or partial replacement. I-CAR does not have permission to show exact locations for sectioning or the procedure itself. However, Ford has paid subscription website with collision repair information and Body Repair Manuals (BRM).

The front lower rail has both OEM sectioning and partial part replacement procedures available. Full part replacement is required for the front upper rail, as the BRM warns do not section. OEM procedures are available for sectioning the outer uniside. The rear rail can be partially replaced at factory seams. There are no OEM procedures available for the uniside reinforcement, inner uniside, trunk, or rear body panel.
