OEM Linking Pin: 2015 Ford F-150 NVH Pads

As part of the I-CAR Repairability Technical Support (RTS) OEM linking pin activity, we are helping to connect the collision repair industry to the vehicle makers. Recently we had a technical inquiry that asked about NVH pad replacement on aluminum Ford F-Series pickups.

Noise vibration harshness (NVH) pads serve an important purpose in reducing and dampening noise in various parts of a vehicle. Any time a pad is removed during the repair process, it should be replaced when repairs are finished. There are various locations on the 2015-2020 Ford F-150 where these NVH pads can be found. A couple examples are: A-pillar and box side. Although the procedure specifies to remove these pads, it does not specify a part number or a replacement pad for installation.

Per our contact at Ford: “Traditional NVH pads can be used to replace the factory pads.”
