Kia Has Video Procedures

Kia Has Video Procedures

Looking for more information about a specific repair procedure? Some OEMs are now providing videos within their repair procedures. As we research OEM body and service repair manuals, and find these helpful videos, we will write articles to let you know. Let’s take a closer look at Kia.

Kia has a dedicated location within their paid service site that contains video representations of certain procedures. The videos may cover removal and installation (R&I) of certain components, or even calibration procedures. It is important to remember not all procedures will have a video, and that available videos may differ depending on the vehicle. In addition to procedures, the videos may contain information on the following:

  • Vehicle inspection
  • Workspace preparation
  • Electrical testing
  • Variant coding

To check if a vehicle has video procedures you will need to:

  • Log in to the Kia website
  • Click on Publication (top of page)
  • Click on Tech Videos (middle of page)
  • Enter Year and Model (top of page)
  • Choose a vehicle system (left hand side of page) or use the search box (top of page)
  • Choose a video

Although videos can be extremely helpful, they are not intended to replace the written procedures. They are there to serve as a guide. Being diligent with reading and following OEM procedures is vital to ensure a complete, safe, and quality repair.
