Vehicle Technology And Trends 2020

The 2020 model year vehicles are starting to roll off the assembly line and into showrooms. The I-CAR course, Vehicle Technology And Trends 2020, covers the technology, model releases, and trends. Keeping up-to-date on the 2020 models and features is vital to the blueprinting and repair process.

For 2020, glass roofs are becoming more common across all models and trim levels. This feature is no longer just for luxury vehicles. Push button shifters are starting to replace traditional knob shifters. Touchscreens are greatly reducing the number of manual controls and buttons. Multi-function tailgates, which open in a number of different ways, are also becoming more common.

There is an abundance of new or completely redesigned models for 2020. North American vehicles include the:

  • Jeep Gladiator pickup

Asian and European vehicles include the:

  • Toyota Supra
  • Toyota Corolla Hybrid
  • Kia Telluride, their first full-size SUV
  • Range Rover Evoque
  • Porsche Tycan, their first all-electric 800V vehicle
