Acura Has Released The 2019 RDX Body Repair News Bulletin

Acura has released the 2019 RDX Body Repair News bulletin.

This 2019 RDX Body Repair News bulletin gives an overview of material identification, foam usage, adhesive location, and paint recommendations. According to the document, the 2019 RDX features 1,500 MPa door rings and 980 MPa front lower rails and upper rails. So straightening options will be limited.

Another new feature is a resin tailgate that has the inner trim panel molded to it. This brings with it special paint requirements. There are multiple areas that need to be masked when refinishing the tailgate, both to make the rear glass adhesion stronger and to avoid getting refinish materials on the inner trim panel.
