Are you looking for OEM emergency response guides (ERGs)? The Repairability Technical Support (RTS) team has located these guides and either houses them on the RTS website, provides links to webpages that house them, or provides articles with instructions on how to locate them.
These documents provide information about the vehicle that is useful to emergency response personnel. You may find ERGs available for many types of vehicles, but most OEMs focus on how to handle a high-voltage (HV) vehicle that has been involved in a collision.
For Honda/Acura vehicles, ERGs are linked on the:
- Honda OEM Information and Acura OEM Information under the Emergency Response Guide icon.
- OEM service website.
Honda/Acura has Emergency Response Guides and Emergency Rescue Sheets. Even though the documents have different names, the type of information within them is similar.
These documents can be accessed for free and do not require a subscription to either website.
Here are step-by-step instructions on how to find ERGs and Emergency Rescue Sheets on the Honda/Acura service site:
- Go to techinfo.honda.com
- Click Emergency Response Information (left side of webpage)
- Select document type:
- option 1: Click Emergency Response Guide
- option 2: Click Emergency Rescue Sheets
- Click vehicle link
It’s important to remember that the ERGs do not provide all the necessary information to repair HV vehicles. The OEM procedure and precautions always need to be followed to ensure the safety of the technician, as well as a complete, safe, and quality repair.
