GM Repair Insights: Spring 2026

The spring edition of General Motors (GM) Repair Insights is now available.

The Spring 2026 features the 2026 GMC Sierra EV available in new trim levels such as the AT4 and Elevation. The AT4 has silver-painted accents around the recovery hooks and badging.

GM added a remanufactured front axle assembly for K2 light-duty vehicles and expanded available gear ratios. Technicians had concerns with replacing individual components, which can be challenging.

Lastly, tips for proper air conditioning compressor oil inspection and replacement are provided. Oil condition provides clues on the systems health to determine if other issues may need to be addressed prior to compressor replacement.
