Step-By-Step: Accessing Volkswagen Repair Information

Per your requests, we are adding step-by-step instructions on how to access the vehicle maker repair information to complement our how-to-videos on the OEM Information pages. Easily reference this article by clicking the link under the video on the Volkswagen OEM Information page.

To find the Volkswagen repair information:

  1. Go to www.erwin.vw.com
  2. Enter username and password (right side of page)
  3. Click Login
  4. Click Service Information (tabs across the top of page)
  5. Click Vehicle Identification Number or select Guided Search (tabs in center of the webpage)
  6. Enter the VIN (vehicle identification number) or select Year and Model (guided search)
  7. Category 1 select Repair Manual
  8. Category 2 select Body
  9. Click Search
  10. From the list select Body Repairs (Body Repairs, Body Collision Repair is general information that does not include sectioning procedures)
  11. Click OK (pop up window)
  12. Scroll down to the last page and click OK
  13. Scroll down to the table of contents and click the procedure

Per Volkswagen: "Google Chrome and Microsoft EDGE may work if you modify the setting which allows the program to open the Adobe PDF outside of the browser window. Opening the document within the EDGE or Chrome browser may not allow you to click past the Caution and Warnings message."
