Honda Has Released The 2024 Prologue Body Repair News

Honda has released a Body Repair News bulletin for the 2024 Honda Prologue. This document provides relevant information at-a-glance for this new model which was co-developed with General Motors (GM).

The 2024 Prologue Model Series: New Body Repair Information document gives an overview of some of the repair considerations that may affect body repairs.

Honda states:"The Prologue was co-developed in partnership with General Motors (GM). The Prologue’s service and body repair information reference GM information and may have the GM logo and likeness of GM’s format."

For vehicle scanning, the Prologue requires MDI-2 and access to Techline Connect software used by GM. Information for GM diagnostics can be found at gmparts.com/technical-resources.

Honda has electric vehicle (EV) precautions that includes:

Damaged vehicle storage
Paint booth temperature considerations
Vehicle lifting points
Towing and transportation
Shop safety

The Prologue features a laser-brazed roof and requires a combination of repair techniques to replace.

Front and rear park assist sensors have specific refinish considerations which must be followed.

Body repair procedures are found under: Service Information ➤ Body Repair ➤ Repair Procedures, Tests. Enter "body repair" in the Type-In Keyword search box and all body repair procedures populate.

Honda states that this is a summary and to always refer to the body repair manual (BRM) for complete repair information.
