I-CAR Just In Time: Torque Wrench Use

Sometimes seeing is understanding, that’s why I-CAR's technical team created the Just in Time video series to guide you through a variety of collision repair topics from ADAS and EVs to repair tips and tricks. These videos enable you to, in less than 5 minutes, learn something new. Let’s check out what the team has for torque wrench usage in this series of videos.

Tight quarters are no excuse for loose adherence to torque specifications. Critical areas like steering and suspension require fasteners to be torqued correctly, even if they seem hard to access.

In this series of videos, Jason Hauboldt, I-CAR Senior Associate and Subject Matter Expert, demonstrates how to properly use a torque wrench in different scenarios a collision repair technician may face.

This video demonstrates using a torque wrench with adapters to gain access to difficult areas and setting it to the same specifications as the service information.
