GM Repair Insights: Fall 2025

The fall edition of General Motors (GM) Repair Insights magazine is now available.

The Fall 2025 edition of GM Repair Insights magazine features the 2026 Cadillac Vistiq. The Vistiq is available in 4 trim levels, each with unique features such as wheel design, tire size, and exterior trim moldings. Super Cruise hands-free driving is standard for the first 3 years on all models.

Also found in this edition is information about changes to the low-voltage system of the Corvette E-Ray, which replaces the lead-acid 12-volt battery with a 12-volt lithium-ion battery. GM includes information on battery operation and possible fault conditions.

Lastly, GM provides details about the relearn procedure of the camera near the rearview mirror, or front-view camera. GM states: "The calibration process can be completed within three to five minutes when the correct driving conditions are met (clear lane markings, clean windshield, vehicle speeds maintained between 35-56 mph)."

What happens when conditions are not met? GM states:

  • "The front-view camera module will continuously run the service-point calibration until it is successfully completed."
  • "The calibration will work across ignition cycles and does not require re-initialization at startup."
