Requirements And Considerations For Achieving An Accurate Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Calibration
It is no secret that more of today’s vehicles are equipped with at least one advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), with many of the newer models having ADAS as standard equipment. This only increases the importance of making sure accurate ADAS calibration is performed after a collision.
ADAS Sensors and Cameras can not only be affected by a collision, but also by the repair process. That is why it is so important to know about these systems and how they function, as well as how to repair a vehicle equipped with these systems. If incorrectly repaired, they may not operate as they were designed to, which can be dangerous for the passengers in the vehicle. The I-CAR Requirements and Considerations for Achieving an Accurate Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Calibration course will help ensure a complete, safe, and quality repair by showing you:
- the types of ADAS sensors/cameras.
- how to identify them.
- where they are commonly located.
- what events can commonly cause them to require calibration.
The course provides real world examples of damage to mounting locations and mounting brackets. It stresses the importance of ensuring that these ADAS mounting locations are repaired back to factory specifications. In addition, you will learn:
