FCA/Stellantis: Welded Sheet Metal Repairs and Replacements

The RTS team frequently receives inquiries on the sectioning and/or replacement of welded-on panels on FCA/Stellantis vehicles. The questions boil down to, what do you do when there isn’t a procedure available? Let’s revisit the FCA/Stellantis Collision Bulletin that addresses this.

The Welded Sheet Metal Repairs and Replacements Collision Bulletin states, "Replacement panels must be installed as provided, and utilizing the methods described in this bulletin, unless additional guidelines are made in another Chrysler Collision Repair Bulletin, Chrysler Body Repair Manual, or other Chrysler approved publication.” The bulletin also clarifies the type of weld processes that should be used, as well as equipment and product requirements.
