2020 Subaru Outback Debuts New Front End and ADAS Features

Subaru is releasing their 2020 Outback with a lot of noteworthy changes. The first major change is the engine. Not seen for roughly a decade, Subaru is once again offering a turbocharged engine. On the Outback XT, a 2.4-liter turbocharged BOXER engine comes standard.

The front end of the Outback has also been redesigned. Improvements from the previous model have allowed the Outback to absorb 40 percent more energy from a crash striking the front or side of the vehicle.

Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist system comes standard on all trim packages. This system includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, adaptive headlights, reverse automatic breaking, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, and lane change assist. A new feature to the outback is their DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System. This system monitors the driver for signs of fatigue or distraction and alerts the driver with a warning light and an alarm. To learn more about the 2020 Outback, visit the Subaru Media Website.
