Taking A Closer Look At Bonding, Riveting, And Welding

ABRN recently released an article titled, Taking A Closer Look At Bonding, Riveting, And Welding. The focus of the article is not on the technical aspect, but on the importance of following OEM procedures when performing repairs.

The article details the OEM testing of adhesives, and how it goes far beyond just checking bond strength. Also, it covers that most OEM online service information is frequently updated. Having access to the most up-to-date repair information is important to ensure a complete, safe, and quality repair

The article touches on the fact that most OEMs charge for access to their service information websites. These sites are all a bit different in use and navigation. However, this is something that the I-CAR Repairability Technical Support (RTS) Portal has made easier for you. RTS has an OEM Information page with videos and articles on how to access and navigate repair information.

RTS also has an OEM partial Part Replacement Search page. I-CAR does not have permission to show exact locations for sectioning or the procedure itself, however, this will give you a good understanding on general areas for sectioning or partial replacement.
