Great Designs in Steel 2016 Presentations: A Closer Look - 2016 Volvo XC90

In case you missed it Henric Lindberg from Volvo Car Corporation presented Advanced high strength steel technologies in the 2016 Volvo XC90 at Great Designs in Steel 2016.

It’s all in how you mix it! Volvo has increased the use of mixed material in the 2016 Volvo XC90. While the use of mild steel has decreased by 16%, the use of high strength to ultra high strength steel has increased significantly. And not to be left out, aluminum parts have edged their way more into the mix.
