DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
WARNINGService or maintenance of any SRS component or SRS-related component must be performed only at an authorized MITSUBISHI dealer.
Before maintenance:
1) Wait for 60 seconds or more after the disconnection of the auxiliary battery (-) terminal.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT
After the air bag deployment, replace the air bag module with a new one:WHEN FRONT AIR BAGS DEPLOY IN A COLLISION:
• SRS-ECU [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Driver airbag module [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL], if deployed
• Passenger airbag module [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL], if deployed
• Seat belt with pre-tensioner [SEATBELT,FRONT]• After operating the seat belt pre-tensioner, replace the seat belt pre-tensioner with a new part.
• Front impact sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• Instrument panel assembly
WHEN SIDE AND CURTAIN AIR BAGS DEPLOY IN A COLLISION:
• SRS-ECU [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Front seatback frame and front seatback cover [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY], if deployed
• Curtain air bag modules [AIRBAG,ROOF], if deployed
• Side impact sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]
• Headlining
• Front pillar trim, center pillar trim upper, quarter trim upper
THE HIGH VOLTAGE SHUTDOWN SYSTEM OPERATES:
• SRS-ECU [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Side impact sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]
PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
• Perform SRS-ECU memory check• Check the SRS air bag components. If a crack, deformation, or others are visually detected to the SRS air bag components or pretensioner, replace them with new parts.
WHEN FRONT AIR BAGS DEPLOY IN A COLLISION:
• Clock spring
• Steering wheel
• Steering column assembly
• Check the wiring harness
When removing and installing the front passenger seat, be sure to carry out accuracy check of the occupant classification sensor after the seat has been installed in the vehicle.
Perform the inspection and service on post-collision vehicles • regardless of the deployment or activation statuses of air bags and pre-tensioner:
• Seat belt assembly
• Impact Sensors
• Front seat assemblies
• Seat slide sensor
• Occupant classification ECU and weight sensor
• Wiring harness (including the one built into the steering wheel), connectors and terminals.
• Headlining
