DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
When working on pyrotechnic components and on the air-bag control module -J234•
1) The battery ground cable must be disconnected with the ignition SWITCHED ON. Then cover the negative pole.
2) Wait for 10 seconds after disconnecting the battery

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT
After an accident with airbag deployment, the following components must be replaced:• All deployed airbag units [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER; AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL; AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT; AIRBAG,REAR SEAT; AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Supports and bracket of the front passenger airbag unit in the
case of a deployed front passenger airbag
• Return ring with slip ring [CLOCK SPRING], in the case of a deployed driver airbag.
• All Seat belts with deployed seat belt tensioners
• If the seat rails and/or seat pan must be replaced after an accident due to deformation, seat occupied recognition must also be replaced with seat occupied recognition repair kit.
• If needed (visual inspection), the following must also be replaced: all faulty components

• If needed (visual inspection), the following must also be replaced: all faulty components• After every repair on the passenger seat in which the seat and/or backrest cover was detached,” the basic setting on passenger occupant detection system control module
