DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
1. Switch the ignition to off2. Disconnect the negative battery cable
3. Wait for 1 minute or more to allow the backup power supply of the SAS control module to deplete its stored power

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT
Frontal or side collision• When the SRS air bag system is activated (deployed) due to a collision, there is a possibility that the SAS control module may have an internal malfunction even though it does not appear to be damaged or deformed. If the SAS control module is
reused, the SRS air bag system may not activate (deploy) properly and may cause a serious accident. When the following devices are activated (deployed), be sure to replace the SAS control module with a new module.
• Driver-side air bag [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL], [if deployed]
• Passenger-side air bag [AIRBAG ,INSTRUMENT PNL], [if deployed]
• Knee air bag
• Side air bag module for rear passenger
• Curtain air bag
• Front pre-tensioner seat belt
• Rear pre-tensioner seat belt
Side Air Bag Module Handling:
• LT side: After a side air bag has operated (deployed), always replace both the side air bag module and the seat back (pad, frame, trim) with new parts. [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT]
Side Air Bag Module Handling:
RT Side: After a side air bag has operated (deployed), always replace both the side air bag module and the seat back (pad, frame, trim) with new parts. [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT]
SAS Control Module Handling:
• Once the air bags, pretensioner seat belts and lap pre-tensioner seat belts have operated (deployed) due to a collision or other causes, the SAS control module must be replaced with a new one [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
Crash Zone Sensor Handling:
• Once the air bags, pretensioner seat belts and lap pre-tensioner seat belts have operated (deployed) due to a collision or other causes, the crash zone sensor must be replaced with a new one [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
Side Air Bag Sensor Handling:
• Once the air bag has operated (deployed) due to a collision or other causes, the side air bag sensor must be replaced with a new one [AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL] [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]
Pressure Sensor Handling:
• Once the air bag has operated (deployed) due to a collision or other causes, the pressure sensor must be replaced with a new one [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR]
Always replace the seat belt once the load limiter operates
PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
Air Bag Module, Pre-tensioner Seat Belt, Lap re-tensioner Seat Belt Reuse:• Always use the on-board diagnostic to diagnose the air bag module, pre-tensioner seat belt or a lap pretensioner seat belt to verify that they have no malfunction.
Inspect the seatbelt system
• Front seat belt (Driver-side, passenger-side):
• Front pre-tensioner seat belt
• ELR
• Load limiter
• ALR (passenger’s side)
• Rear seat belt (LH, RH):
• Rear pre-tensioner seat belt
• Load limiter
• ALR
• Rear seat belt (center):
• ELR
• ALR
• Perform the seat weight sensor inspection using the M-MDS
• Seat belt assemblies
