Per the 2020 Ford Transit Connect Workshop manual:
"NOTE: The A-pillar reinforcement service part is supplied as a one-piece unit, is made of boron and cannot be sectioned except at spot weld joints. Partial replacement is approved providing the component is separated at factory joints only."
"NOTE: The B-pillar reinforcement is made of boron and must be replaced at the factory seams. No sectioning is permitted."
"NOTE: The rocker panel inner reinforcement is made of boron and can only be replaced at the factory seams. No sectioning or splicing is permitted."
