DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
Before removing any of the SRS parts (including the disconnection of the connectors), always disconnect theSRS connector:
1. Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery
3. Wait at least three minutes before beginning work
After the vehicle is completely repaired, confirm the SRS airbag system is OK.
• Turn the ignition switch ON, the SRS indicator should come on for about 6 seconds and then go off.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT
When the front airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG, STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG, INSTRUMENT PNL; AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Seat belt pretensioner(s)
• Anchor Pretensioner(s)
• Front impact sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]
• SRS wiring harnesses
• With a deployed Passenger Airbag (PAB) Module, Replace the crash pad which is damaged when PAB is deployed
When the side/curtain airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:
• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY; AIRBAG & BOLSTER,SEAT; AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s) [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• SRS wiring harnesses
• The side airbag cannot be disassembled from the seat back assembly, so replace the seat back assembly when replacing the side airbag [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY]
• The side airbag cannot be disassembled from the seat back assembly, so replace the seat back assembly when replacing the side airbag [AIRBAG & BOLSTER,SEAT]
PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
Before doing any SRS repairs, use the GDS to check for DTCs. Refer to the Diagnostic Trouble Code list for repairing of the related DTCs.• Inspect for any damage or any deformation on the SRS unit and the side impact sensors. If there is any damage, replace the SRS unit, the front impact sensor and/or the side impact sensors.
• Inspect the clock spring for heat damage. If any damage found, replace the clock spring
Never attempt to modify, splice, or repair SRS wiring. If there is an open or damage in SRS wiring, replace the harness
