DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

Before removing any of the SRSCM parts (including the disconnection of the connectors), always disconnect the SRSCM connector

1) Always turn the ignition switch OFF
2) Disconnect the negative cable from the battery
3) Wait at least three minutes before beginning work.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When the front airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:

• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL; AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• If the Passenger Airbag (PAB) has been deployed, replace the damaged crash pad
• Seat belt pretensioner(s)
• Anchor pretensioner(s)
• Front Impact Sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT]


When the side/curtain airbag(s) deployed after a collision, replace the following items:

• SRSCM [MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]
• Deployed airbag(s) [AIRBAG & SEAT BACK ASSY; AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Side impact sensor(s) for the deployed side(s) [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

Before doing any SRS repairs, use the GDS Pro to check for DTCs.

• Inspect the clock spring for heat damage. If any damage found, replace the clock spring.
• WCS reset and accuracy check should be performed when the vehicle is brought to the repair shop due to an accident
