DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

Always confirm DTCs before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal

1. Turn engine switch OFF and remove key.
2. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
3. Wait 90 seconds.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When any of the airbags have deployed, replace the affected airbag sensors and check the installation condition

• Steering pad [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL] [If Deployed]
• Front passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL] [If Deployed]
• Knee airbag assemblies [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER] [If Deployed]
• Front seat side airbag assembly [AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,FRT], If the front seat airbag assembly was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, front seatback spring sub-assembly, front seatback with cover pad with a new one
• Seat cushion airbag assemblies [AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,FRT] If the front seat airbag sub-assembly was deployed, replace the front seat airbag sub-assembly, front seat cushion sub-assembly, front seat cushion with cover pad with a new one.
• Curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF] [If Deployed]
• Rear window curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF] [If Deployed]
• When any of the airbags have deployed, replace the affected airbag sensors and check the installation condition [AIRBAG SENSOR,FRONT; AIRBAG SENSOR,FRT DOOR; AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL (FRT); AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL (RR); MODULE,AIRBAG CONTROL]

• Side airbag sensors
• Rear airbag sensors
• Seat position sensor
• Occupant classification ECU
• Perform the zero point calibration and sensitivity check
• Instrument panel
• Instrument panel reinforcement
• Front seat outer belt assemblies
