DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
Before using an electric welder anywhere on the vehicle, disconnect the center airbag sensor assembly connectors. These connectors contain shorting springs. This feature reduces the possibility of the airbag deploying due to current entering the squib wiring.1. Turn ignition switch to OFF and remove key.
2. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
3. Wait at least 90 seconds.
When the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, the memory settings of each system will be cleared. Because of this, be sure to write down the settings of each system before starting work. When work is finished, reset the settings of each system as before. Never use a backup power supply from outside the vehicle to avoid erasing the memory in a system

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT
When any of the airbags have deployed due to the collision, be sure to replace all sensors in the damaged areas and center airbag sensor assembly. With a front airbag deployment:
• Steering wheel pad [AIRBAG, STEERING WHEEL], if deployed
• Front passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL], if deployed
• Driver side knee airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER], if deployed
• Front passenger side knee airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER], if deployed
• The front airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR,FENDER] on the impacted side should be replaced after the steering pad, front passenger airbag assembly, driver side knee airbag assembly or front passenger side knee airbag assembly has deployed.
• Center airbag sensor assembly [MODULE, AIRBAG CONTROL]
With a side airbag deployment:
• Side airbag [AIRBAG,FRONT SEAT], if deployed
• The side airbag sensor [AIRBAG SENSOR, SIDE] on the impacted side should be replaced after the front seat airbag assembly has deployed
• Center airbag sensor assembly [MODULE, AIRBAG CONTROL]
With a side curtain airbag deployment:
• Curtain shield airbag assembly [AIRBAG,ROOF], if deployed
• The side airbag sensor on the impacted side should be replaced after the front seat airbag assembly and curtain shield airbag assembly have deployed [AIRBAG SENSOR, SIDE]
• The rear airbag sensor on the impacted side should be replaced after the curtain shield airbag assembly has deployed [AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• Center airbag sensor assembly [MODULE, AIRBAG CONTROL]
PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
• Perform a diagnostic system check• Steering pad
• Front passenger airbag assembly
• Driver side knee airbag assembly
• Front passenger side knee airbag assembly
• Front seat side airbag assembly
• Curtain shield airbag assembly
• Center airbag sensor assembly
• Front airbag sensor
• Front seat inner belt assembly
• Seat position airbag sensor
• Side airbag sensor
• Rear airbag sensor
• Front seat outer belt assembly
• Rear seat outer belt assembly
• If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, front seat back cover and front seat with adjuster frame assembly with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.
• Perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check
• Front pillar garnish
• Roof headlining assembly
• OCS: Perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check
• As the SRS parts are very hot after being deployed, ensure that all wire harnesses and connectors around deployed SRS parts are not damaged.
