DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)
Before doing any SRS repairs, check for DTCs with the HDS for the less obvious deployed components (front seat belt tensioners, front impact sensors, side impact sensors, rear safing sensor, etc). Before disconnecting the SRS unit connectors, always disconnect the appropriate SRS parts connectors.
1. Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0), or the vehicle ignition in the OFF mode.
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery.
NOTE: Always disconnect the negative cable from the battery first.
3. Disconnect the positive cable from the battery.
4. Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work

• If there is a breaking or damage found in harness relevant to the replacement parts, replace it, do not repair.• Before doing any SRS repairs, check for DTCs with the HDS for the less obvious deployed components (front seat belt tensioners, front impact sensors, side impact sensors, rear safing sensor, etc).
• Do not replace the ODS unit unless it is physically damaged or a specific fault was found during DTC troubleshooting. Because it could complicate troubleshooting other DTCs
• After a vehicle collision, do the ODS unit operation check.
• After a vehicle collision, inspect the front seat active head restraints.
• Inspect all the SRS wire harnesses
• If the cable reel shows any signs of damage, replace it with a new one [CLOCK SPRING]
• Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Output Check After a Vehicle Collision
• After a moderate to severe side or rear collision, inspect for any damage on the side curtain airbag or other related components. Replace the components as needed.
