PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED
• Before doing any SRS repairs, check the DTCs with the HDS, for the less obvious deployed components (front seat belt tensioners, front impact sensors, side impact sensors, rear safing sensor, etc.)• Do not replace the ODS unit unless it is physically damaged or a specific fault was found during DTC troubleshooting. Because it could complicate troubleshooting other DTCs
• ODS unit operation check
• Inspect the front seat active head restraints.
• Inspect all the SRS wire harnesses. Replace, do not repair, any damaged harnesses
• Inspect the cable reel for heat damage. If there is any damage, replace the cable reel.
• Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Output Check
• After a moderate to severe side or rear collision, inspect for any damage on the side curtain airbag or other related components. Replace the components as needed.
• After a collision where the side airbag was deployed, inspect the seat-back cover/pad. Replace the seat-back cover/pad if it is damaged.
• Any restraint system part or wiring identified by diagnostic check
