DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

Before doing any SRS repairs, check for DTCs with the HDS for the less obvious deployed components (front seat belt tensioners, front impact sensors, side impact sensors, rear safing sensor, etc).

Before disconnecting the SRS unit connectors, always disconnect the appropriate SRS parts connectors.

1. Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0), or the vehicle ignition in the OFF mode.
2. Disconnect and isolate the negative cable from the battery.
NOTE: Always disconnect the negative cable from the battery first.
3. Disconnect the positive cable from the battery.
4. Wait at least 3 minutes before starting work

• Do the ODS unit operation check
• Inspect Front seat active head restraints
• Inspect all the SRS wire harnesses
• Inspect the cable reel for heat damage [CLOCK SPRING]
• Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Output Check After a Vehicle Collision
