DISABLE PROCEDURE AND TIME (Always Check Service Manual)

Before using an electric welder on the vehicle, remove any SRS parts around the area being repaired

1. Turn power switch OFF
2. Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable.
3. Wait 90 seconds.

NOTICE:

w/ Navigation System for HDD:

After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

PARTS THAT MUST BE REPLACED FOLLOWING A DEPLOYMENT

When the SRS parts are deployed (including when only an airbag or pretensioner is deployed) due to a collision, be sure to replace all sensors in the damaged areas and center airbag sensor assembly.

• Steering wheel pad [AIRBAG, STEERING WHEEL], [if deployed]
• Front passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL], [if deployed]
• Driver side knee airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER], [if deployed]
• Front passenger side knee airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER], [if deployed]
• Front seat airbag assembly. If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat side airbag assembly, front seat frame assembly with adjuster, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage [AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,FRT], [if deployed]
• Rear seat airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,REAR SEAT], [if deployed]
• Curtain shield airbag assembly, [AIRBAG,ROOF], [if deployed]
• Center airbag sensor assembly [MODULE, AIRBAG CONTROL]
• When airbags have deployed as the result of a collision, be sure to replace all front airbag sensors in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair). [AIRBAG SENSOR,FENDER]
• When airbags have deployed as the result of a collision, be sure to replace all rear airbag sensors in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair). [AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• When airbags have deployed as the result of a collision, be sure to replace all side airbag sensors in the damaged areas (anywhere in need of repair). [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]
• Any damaged restraint system part

PARTS THAT MUST BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF DAMAGED

Perform a diagnostic system check

• Steering pad [AIRBAG,STEERING WHEEL]
• Driver side knee airbag assembly [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Front passenger side knee airbag assembly [AIRBAG,KNEE BOLSTER]
• Front passenger airbag assembly [AIRBAG,INSTRUMENT PNL]
• Curtain shield airbag assemblies [AIRBAG,ROOF]
• Front seat side airbag assemblies [AIRBAG & SEAT ASSY,FRT]
• Rear seat side airbag assemblies [AIRBAG,REAR SEAT]
• Front seat outer belt assemblies
• Rear seat 3 point type belt assemblies
• Front airbag sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,FENDER]
• Side airbag sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,SIDE]
• Rear airbag sensors [AIRBAG SENSOR,QTR PANEL]
• Seat position sensor
• Any restraint system part or wiring identified by diagnostic check
